The Civil Talk Series, organized by CESS-Nepal as part of the AADHAR 2081 initiative, successfully concluded with multiple sessions designed to educate, inspire, and guide students on diverse aspects of civil engineering and professional development.

The series began with a session on Sustainable Waste Management for Climate Resilience and Circular Economy, held on 3rd Poush, 2081, at F-Hall, Pulchowk Campus. Delivered by Prof. Dr. Dhundi Raj Pathak, a renowned Solid Waste Management Specialist, the session highlighted innovative strategies for waste management and their role in building a sustainable future.

On 17th Poush, 2081, a Panel Discussion with Professors was conducted at the Library Hall, Pulchowk Campus. Esteemed panelists, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kshitiz Charan Shrestha (Structural Engineering), Asst. Prof. Rojee Pradhananga (Transportation Engineering), Prof. Dr. Bijay Thapa (Environmental Engineering), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ram Chandra Tiwari (Geotechnical Engineering), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawan Kumar Bhattarai (Water Resource Engineering), engaged in an enriching discussion, providing students with insights into emerging trends and challenges in their respective fields.

The series concluded with a session on License Preparation and Loksewa after BE, held on 6th January, 2025, at F-Hall, Pulchowk Campus. Bishal Bastola, an engineer at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, and Rabin Lamichhane, a Hydropower Engineer from the same ministry, shared their experiences and offered guidance on professional licensing and Loksewa preparation, equipping students with the tools to navigate their careers post-graduation.

Coordinated by Aakriti Thapa, Arjun Adhikari, and Sandesh Paudel, the Civil Talk Series provided a valuable platform for students to gain knowledge, interact with experts, and prepare for their professional journey. This initiative underscored CESS-Nepal’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry while fostering growth and innovation in the field of civil engineering.
