Diwash Poudel (18th Executive Committee President – CESS Nepal)
It has been an incredible journey leading CESS-Nepal as the President
of the 18th Executive Committee. From getting elected a year ago to
now writing this final message for our magazine, I can’t help but
wonder how quickly time has flown. Under the theme “Building
Tomorrow Today: Uniting Technology, Sustainability, and Resilience for
a Better Future,” our committee strived to create a meaningful impact
and looking back, I feel proud of what we have achieved together.
This year marked many milestones in the history of CESS. From the
successful completion of events like talk series, trainings, workshops,
health camps, and hundreds of technical and non-technical
competitions, to the grand Alumni Meet and our major event AADHAR
2081—which saw an overwhelming outflow of people, we truly pushed
our boundaries. The addition of Research Colloquium, Hackathon, and
the initiation of our Podcast Series added new dimensions to our
organization, encouraging research, embedding technology into our
field, and sharing stories and experiences that enriched the student
community. Our collaborations with +2 colleges for quizzes and
Olympiads also expanded our outreach beyond Pulchowk Campus,
injecting new energy and innovation into the CESS spirit. None of this
would have been possible without the dedication and effort of our
team. I am deeply grateful to all and especially the executive
committee who helped shape this successful year.
A heartfelt thanks to all patrons, professors, and campus
administration for their continued support and encouragement. I also
extend sincere thanks to the entire civil engineering department
including the HOD, DHODs, students, and staff for their constant
support and guidance. As I pen this message for the website of CESS-Nepal,
I feel thankful and inspired. I hope this website continues to be a
strong platform for students to learn, share their ideas, express creativity,
and connect with the world beyond classrooms. I wish all the best to
the upcoming committees and encourage them to dream big, stay
united, and keep building for tomorrow—today.
